A Well Earned Certificate

Everyday Hannah has computer time at school to work through a reading program. For the last five weeks she has been stuck in the same place, unable to move on, until she mastered the "b" and "d" section. For five weeks we have all been stuck in the same place with her. Her teacher had been drilling her non-stop, I had been drilling her non-stop, making endless sorting, matching, and listening games. What was the result? Nothing but being stuck. It was getting to the point where Hannah didn't want to go to school and would cry everyday when I dropped her off- very sad. Nick even gave a Family Home Evening lesson about prayer and how we can pray wherever for help. We could not figure out what the problem was- she knew the sounds, letters, and could form words using them, but she would get on the computer and would forget everything. On Tuesday, Nick worked out his day so he could take Hannah to school and spend some time with her on the computer to try to crack the code. And he did!! Nick figured out Hannah wouldn't pick the same letter twice in a row, even if it was the right answer and she knew it wasn't the right letter. Who knew?!? Hannah, her teacher, and myself were all so thrilled to have the level passed. Way to go Hannah!!!!
